The Utah crowd is about to get loud again

THE UFC IS COMING BACK TO TOWN

It’s the promotion’s fifth trip to SLC and the first since UFC 307 back in 2024, when Alex Pereira stopped Khalil Rountree and the building was absolutely electric. Those Utah shows have a habit of delivering—Usman vs. Edwards 2, Poirier vs. Gaethje 2, Pereira’s title defense, so the expectations are already high.

Right now the only confirmed fight on the card is a heavyweight scrap that feels like pure chaos waiting to happen: Johnny Walker making his official move up from light heavyweight against England’s Mick Parkin. Walker’s the long, lanky, highlight-reel machine who’s been entertaining (and occasionally frustrating) fans for years. Parkin is the ranked prospect and training partner of heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall, coming off a long layoff and looking to make a statement. It’s the kind of matchup that could end in under two minutes or turn into a wild barnburner. Either way, it’s a solid early building block.

Beyond that, the rest of the card is still taking shape. With two months to go, the rumor mill hasn’t locked in a clear headliner yet, but you know how these numbered shows in secondary markets work—once the first couple fights get announced, bigger names start circling. Utah has a track record of pulling strong undercards and the occasional surprise main event, so don’t be shocked if a ranked contender or two finds their way onto the poster in the coming weeks.

Tickets should start moving soon, and the whole thing streams on Paramount+. If you’ve never been to a UFC show in Salt Lake, the energy in that building hits different. Local fans show up ready, the altitude can play a factor, and the Delta Center always packs a punch.
